You are the music in me

My iPod nano is pretty much my favorite thing in the world. It has seen me through a lot of cleaning, folding laundry, exercising, driving, yardwork, etc. In the van, I let the boys take turns choosing which song to blast. I just have to say, their choices crack me up. I never know what to expect. Here are some of their recent favorite picks:

Nathan: Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of Over the Rainbow. Into the Ocean by Blue October. David Cook singing Innocent. Brooke White singing Carly Simon's You're So Vain. Bet on It from High School Musical 2. VoiceMale's Carol of the Bells. In fact, all of VoiceMale's Jingles 2 album, even in June. Like mother, like son.

Caleb: Apologize by One Republic. Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce. Bad Day by Alvin & the Chipmunks. Superman by Five for Fighting. Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne. Like Whoa by Aly & A.J. He especially likes making up silly lyrics and singing them twice as loud as the real song. No wonder he loves Weird Al, LOL!

Seth: All Rock Band, all the time. Wanted Dead or Alive and Livin' on a Prayer. The exact quote: "Well, let's get started off with a little Bon Jovi." His other favorites: Nine in the Afternoon, The Middle, All the Small Things, and Maps.

And our current family favorite to sing at the top of our lungs: The Final Countdown by Europe. Even Luke sings along, adorable! We are hooked on this song. Watch the awesome video my nephew made for his German class and you'll understand why. :)
