Wow, another mouse that we actually like. Christmas wonders never cease. I bought this cute book a couple of years ago because we absolutely love the original, the story about the red, ripe strawberry.
Our mouse adventures continue, although they have taken on a different form, thank goodness! Today Caleb was snake-sitting his classroom pet, a Great Basin gopher snake named Hummer, and we went to the pet store to buy a live mouse to feed him. (Caleb's class calls each of the mice "Bummer," LOL!) After one failed strike attempt, Hummer never mustered the energy to try again. So Caleb took Hummer's tank, mouse and all, back to school this morning. I hope to hear that the snake eventually triumphs in the Hummer vs. Bummer match. I'll keep you posted.
